Speed self portrait

I was really tired and didn't really feel like doing anything.

But I wanted to be productive, so I did a self portrait speed paint.

I made my face a little to long, but oh well.

Flying

Just some really old OCs. Thought I'd try getting out of my comfort zone and do something at a different perspective and doing something other than standing. Yes, I just did a more detailed version of a sketch a put in my last post.

More doodles

Just another doodle dump. All my stuff drawn over the past week. Trying to get back into drawing more again which is hard because of my classes. I will not let school get in the way of my art :| Because seriously, what's the use of going to school for art when I'm not learning art and its keeping me from improving?

That chick on top is mostly shirtless because her anatomy came out all awesome and I didn't want to ruin it with clothes. I also just wanted to practice drawing women a bit more because I usually mainly draw men. And I wanted to practice expressions. So its all mainly just practice doodles.

That bottom picture is the hallway at my college.

Oh yeah did I forgot to mention? I'm not going to Sheridan. Realized I wouldn't be able to pay for it. At the moment, I'm just taking a few gen ed classes at the community college and transferring to the state University to major in studio art and graphic design and minor in Chinese.

Coloring practice

More random drawings. Just trying new coloring styles. Probably not going to finish the WIP. Paintings in CS5 come out a lot different from ones done in 7.0. It would be weird to change halfway through.

I finished my graphics final really early so I drew this in photoshop and I'm still in class. Now I'm bored ._.

What I've been doing

Guess who's gotten back into watching anime after not really watching any since middle school. Haha I've been pretty uninspired lately so I thought I'd give myself a break and draw some fan art.

Anyways, a lot has been going on. Though school is ending next week, graduation isn't until the end of June (Graduating with high honors. Whooo!). I also won a contest for a logo I did in my graphic design class and I'm now getting $250 and a copy of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign CS5. So this month has been pretty amazing.

Lastly, I finally got my scores and found out my wait list ranking today. I scored a 2.91 and I am 6 out of 12 on the wait list. Not much of a chance of getting in but I'm happy nonetheless. I'm just shocked that I did good on life drawing and bad on my animation related stuff. I was expecting the complete opposite. But anyways, thats about it for now. I'm hoping I can have a great last summer of high school and that I'll make lots of friends in college. I'm really going to miss my friends though. Trying to talk all my artsy friends that are good at drawing and want to be an animator into applying.

Deviantart junk

Anyways I did something on deviantart called the Paper Chain Project which is where someone gives a character and you have to do a sketch of them. The character belongs to Painted-bees on deviantart.

I think I'm gonna do this with all my sketches now. Looks fancy~

Random sketch and WIP

Just a random digital painting that took a couple hours. So its a speed paint in a way. Ugh, I need to stop looking at all these digital paintings from people much older than me ;3; I wish I could be as good as them but I know it'll take time.

Oh and I've been working on something for graphic design homework. We're designing characters for a video game. I see so much wrong with it but I kinda like it D;

Yongrui

Practicing in SAI more. Only this took a few hours and I fixed it up in photoshop.
I pretty much tried completely redoing an old picture and it looks compleeeetely different.
Yongrui's my youngest main character. About 5 or 6.
Inspired by this song, which would totally be his song if each of my OCs had a song to represent them.

I think it came out pretty good. Much faster to paint than photoshop. (Did in about an hour)

So I got SAI and it is the most amazing program I have ever used. At least for cel shading. 'Dem lines <3

I decided I would try to do one nice picture of each of my characters from my story. Doing profiles. Oh gosh I love making profiles.

EDIT: LUUUUUL. I just realized the top row is RGB. That is amazing.

Aaaaaand what I'm working on right now. Haha I have too many Asian characters. Well at least Dollie (The chick) isn't Chinese. Everyone else is. She's Korean.
